Black Liberation Army
The Black Liberation Army or BLA for short is a group of black nationalist. They began in 1970 and ended in 1981. The BLA is a anti-capitalist, anti-imperialist, anti-racist, and anti-sexist group. The BLA is located in many areas all around the United States. All in all the BLA was a dangerous group, associated with deaths of many police officers and civilians over the years they were together.
The BLA believes in striving for the abolishment of these systems and for the institution of socialistic relationships in which black people have total and absolute control over their own destiny as people. Because they are anti-capitalist, anti-imperialist, anti-racist, and anti-sexist, they target anyone and everyone who is against their ways and attack them ruthlessly. The BLA has used different tactics such as planting bombs in order to injure or kill people, or using shootouts against many people such as police officers and civilians.
People have tried to fight back but came to no avail. Up until 1981 the BlA was most likely unstoppable. The BlA was involved in a truck robbery that left two police officers and a guard dead. Police thought this was enough and tracked down the BLA. When they were found police arrested the BLA members and they were disbanded. Although they were disbanded some members that weren't arrested started and anarchist group and became very outspoken. Many members are still in prison as of today while others have either moved on or passed away.
